On July 28th, 2010, the St. Theresa, Father Clement, St. Mark and St. John Councils of the Knights of Columbus held there annual Firefighter Appreciation Banquet.

The St. Amant Volunteer Fire Department would like to recognize Captain Josh Wingerter, awarded St. Amant Fireman of the Year, as well as Ryan Moran and Brady Moran, awarded St. Amant Junior Firefighters of the Year.

"Congratulations to all the Volunteer Firefighters and Junior Firefighters who were recognized by the Knights of Columbus. Ascension Parish residents can rest easy at night knowing these young men and women are working hard day-in and day-out", said St. Amant Fire Chief James E. LeBlanc.
